Canon U.S.A. has recently hosted a panel discussion with business thought leaders at NeueHouse N.Y. on a topic that seems to attract a growing attention in the business community – the Office of the Future. Advanced digital security protocols, expansion of cloud computing, and the disruptive artificial intelligence are the key factors companies will have to consider in the very near future!

The panel discussed how technology, architectural design, company culture, and autonomy in the workplace will intertwine to shape the future work environment and affect employee productivity. According to the findings of a new IDC survey, sponsored by Canon, sixty percent of enterprises will implement digital transformation strategies by 2020. IDC also predicts that the transformation will be so radical that it will alter the very nature of work. What will be the implications of the growing digitization for business? How will organizations adapt to the fast approaching change?

“The Office of the Future is not a distant concept; it is happening now,” says Greg Ryan, vice president, corporate planning center, Canon Information & Imaging Solutions, Inc. “Companies need to find ways to pivot their existing workflow strategies to embrace the digital transformation, and a great way to accomplish that is by synthesizing emerging technologies with existing. This is how we can reach the full potential of the Office of the Future.”
